because if you don't tell the world about your running, are you even really doing it? (just kidding)

90-minute morning

yesterday i did my prescribed 90-minute run (treadmill, of course) in the morning. i ran at 9:30 pace the whole time, which quite honestly was probably too fast. i think i should be taking it easier on long runs unless i'm actually trying to do a speed workout or tempo run. my pride says, "but 9:30 miles are still really sloooowwww" but really they don't feel that slow when you're on the 9th one.

also, my foot started to hurt. i think i need new shoes. i'm going to get the same ones i have now (new balance 753s) because i've never had any problems running in them before. really very few blisters, even. and i don't want to mess with a good thing . . .

today i just have a 3 mile run + 6 X 100 S (so 4.2 miles total). i'm running at 10:00 mile pace, even if it feels too easy. i don't want to overtrain, especially so close to the race. sadly, i've read multiple times that you can't 'cram' for a marathon.
